CONFERENCED APPROVED LITERATURE (CAL)
Since its founding in 1951, Al-Anon Family Groups published more than 100 books and pamphlets sharing Al-Anon’s single purpose: to help family and friends recover from the effects of someone else’s drinking. Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature (CAL) is an important piece of our recovery.
Our literature supplements the face-to-face meetings where Al Anon members share their insights, experience, strength, and hope.
Al-Anon literature is usually available at Al-Anon meetings. Al-Anon literature can deepen an understanding of recovery in Al-Anon.
Have questions? Need recommendations? Ask anyone at a meeting! Ask you sponsor!
Here is a short sample list of free download flyer providing information about how Al-Anon can help families and friends of alcoholics:
* Are You Troubled By Someone Else's Drinking? is a leaflet that asks 20 questions to help you decide if you need Al-Anon.* Has Your Life Been Affected By Someone Else's Drinking has more questions.* Did You Grow Up With A Problem Drinker? addresses adult children of alcoholics.* Detachment is an easy-to-use handout with practical suggestions.* Al-Anon Family Groups Welcome Adult Children of Alcoholics is a 6-page outreach tool for adult children.* Welcome to Al-Anon email is a free overview from Al-Anon’s World Service.
While recovery is only done ‘one day at a time’ many members find reading the extensive library of Al-Anon literature ‘one page at a time’ key to deepening their recovery in our program.
